Ask NHS - Virtual Assistant (iOS / Android)
Ask NHS provides you with improved access to NHS services. You can talk through your symptoms in complete confidence with Olivia, a virtual health assistant. If needed, Olivia will arrange for a call back from a 111 Nurse to discuss your symptoms further. You can also search NHS approved healthcare advice, schedule GP appointments and search opening times/locations of local healthcare services. Ask NHS is available to all patients in the UK over 18. |
MoodMission (iOS / Android)
When your stress and anxiety levels are high, it’s vital to stop and recognize it — then use mental health tools to pinpoint your feelings. Once you know what you’re dealing with, it can be easier to deploy the best coping method. This app will give you your mood mission, which can motivate you to use therapeutic techniques to boost your mood and reactions. |
Daylio (iOS / Android)
Daylio is a micro-diary app that lets you keep track of your moods without having to write down your feelings. Just select videos and icons that correspond with your mood to track how your feelings ebb and flow. You can also use the journaling tool to jot down notes, but if you’re looking for a simple and quick way to keep tabs on your feelings, this app makes it easy. |
Operation Reach Out (iOS / Android)
Many veterans and people in the military deal with depression that can interfere with their quality of life. Operation Reach Out is designed specifically for veterans and includes links to hotlines for support, as well as videos on the benefits of getting help for depression. This is also a great app if you’re looking for resources to help a loved one who you think may be dealing with depression or suicidal thoughts. |

People living with depression and other mental health conditions do well when they have the support of others. TalkLife is an online community for people looking for support. You can post anonymously if you wish, and chat back and forth with others. Whether you need support or want to help others, this app gives users a safe place to connect about depression. |

Elefriends is a supportive online community from the mental health charity Mind. We all know what it’s like to struggle sometimes, but now there’s a safe place to listen, share and be heard. Whether you’re feeling good right now, or really low, it’s a place to share experiences and listen to others. |

SAM: Self-help for Anxiety Management (iOS / Android)
SAM is an app to help you understand and manage anxiety. The app has been developed in collaboration with a research team from UWE, Bristol. SAM will help you to understand what causes your anxiety, monitor your anxious thoughts and behaviour over time and manage your anxiety through self-help exercises and private reflection. The "Social cloud" feature will enable you to share your experiences with the SAM community while protecting your identity. |
